Useful Information

Synagogues
In the Ma'ara are a number of synagogues:
The Abraham Hall
The Jacob Hall
The Central Courtyard
The Yusufiah [“Ulam HaBeritot”]
The “Yeshenei Hebron” Hall
The Isaac Hall, open only ten days a year. For details…

Every hall is a different size and is appropriate for different needs, in terms of the size and make-up of the group, and its needs.
Every hall has the option of a women’s section.

Meals and Refreshments
The “Yusufiah”, also called the “Ulam HaBritot”, is the best place in the Ma'ara to make a Kiddush, a breakfast or to provide light refreshments. The hall holds:
Chairs, Tables, Folding Tables, A large electric Hot Water Pot
Trash Receptacles.

It is particularly suited to se’udot mitzvah [ceremonial meals] after a brit, a pidyon haben, and bar and bat mitzvahs. It holds up to eighty people.

Coordinating Events
Events should be coordinated in advance in order to update the Ma'ara staff and the security forces, and in order to ensure that your affair does not overlap with another.

The Ma'arat HaMachpela Authority staff will be happy to assist you in organizing your affair, both beforehand and during the actual event, for no charge. They also provide information regarding prayer times, directions for getting to Hebron, a variety of travel options, and options regarding light refreshments, meals, mohalim, and any other information needed.

A tour of Hebron’s Jewish sites can be included as well.
The Eretz Yehuda Archaeological Museum
The Avraham Avinu Synagogue
Bet Hadassah
The Tarpat [1929] Museum
Admot Yishai [Tel Rumeida]
The Tomb of Jesse and Ruth
The Rabbinic Section of the Ancient Cemetery
