The Three Pilgrimage Festivals – Corresponding to the Three Patriarchs / Noam Arnon
The three patriarchs infused all spheres of Judaism, all the holidays and all the mitzvoth with content and meaning. As is well-known from Tractate Berachot, the Patriarchs enacted all three Shemoneh Esrehs, Shacharit, Minchah and Ma'ariv, and they express their special content.
The Roots of the Jewish People / Chaye Sarah Dvar Torah

The Torah teaches us that Avraham, sitting outside his tent following his brit milah, seeing three men approaching, ran to fix them a meal. When he entered the sheep pen to prepare fresh meat, a calf ran away. As Avraham chased the calf, the animal suddenly disappeared. Continuing to search, Avraham saw a cave in the distance and approached, thinking that perhaps the calf had run inside. Arriving at the cave and peering in, Avraham saw a bright light glowing, from deep within. Entering to investigate, walking deeper and deeper into the cave, Avraham discovered the tombs of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman. He also smelled fragrances from the Garden of Eden.

Shabbat Chaye Sarah - Hebron 5765 / Meir Glazer - Tzfat
Avraham’s tent is real.  It’s much bigger than any tent you’ve ever seen.  It’s the size of the whole Jewish Community in Hebron and Kiryat Arba.  This is a Shabbat that opens the hearts of hundreds of Jews who came to experience the living example of Israel’s process of redemption.  Jews who came to the city of Avraham and David, of chesed-love and malkut-kingship, saw both and felt how nothing can stop the will of the Jewish soul that connects up with it sources; HaShem, the Torah and Eretz Yisrael.  That will, created the possibility that Jews can walk freely surrounded by thousands of hostile Arabs.
From the Cave of Machpela to the Grotto of the Rock / Rav M. Elon - The end of Bereshit and the beginning of Sh'mot

The conclusion of Parashat 'Vayigash' is strongly linked to the beginning of Parashat 'Vayechi'. We can see this in the writing itself – there is no break between Vayigash and Veyechi. There is no space between the ending of one parasha and the beginning of another. In the words of our sages, this is a 'Parasha s'tumah' – a closed Parasha. [1]

From a Simple Subject’s Possession to that of a King / The Lubavitcher Rebbe
“The field and its cave rose up [vayakam] to become became the uncontested property of Abraham as a burial site, purchased from the children of Heth.” (Genesis 23:20)
When Sarah died, Abraham went to the sons of Heth and asked to purchase Ma’arat HaMachpela in Ephron’s field as a burial site. Ephron offered him the entire field and the cave within it as a gift, but Abraham insisted on buying it all at the full price: “I am giving you the money for the field. Take it from me” (verse 13). Ultimately, Ephron demanded a heavy price – “400 silver shekels”(verse 15). Abraham paid Ephron the entire sum he demanded, “400 silver shekels in
